MOBA Big Sonic-Ski leveling system for asphalt pavers, designed to support precise grade control and smoother asphalt surfaces. The 13 m mechanical set is supplied with three ultrasonic sensors as standard. A four-sensor configuration is available as an option. Cables and wiring are included, while a transport box is optional.

How the MOBA Big Sonic-Ski works

The Big Sonic-Ski combines measurements from several ultrasonic sensors positioned along a long reference beam. Averaging multiple measuring points helps compensate for long surface irregularities and supports consistent paving quality. MOBA documents configurations with up to four independently measuring sensors.

Applications

The system is intended for asphalt paving, road construction, grade control and surface-leveling work. Typical applications include long road sections, parking areas, industrial surfaces, rehabilitation projects and paving under demanding site conditions.

Configuration and compatibility

The standard configuration includes three ultrasonic sensors. A four-sensor configuration can be supplied as an option, depending on the customer’s paving application and project requirements. Compatibility with the asphalt paver, controller, connectors and mounting arrangement should be confirmed before ordering. Please provide the paver make and model and details of the existing control system so the appropriate configuration can be reviewed.
